SCOPE AND CONTENT
This set is a part of the Southern Africa Publications Special Collection and contains issues of the Federal Negarit Gazeta of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia from 1987–1989.

HISTORICAL AND BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
The Negarit Gazeta of the People’s Democratic Republic of Ethiopia was established in 1942 by the Proclamation No.1/1942 as a government gazette. This Proclamation was repealed in 1995 and the Federal Negarit Gazeta was established in accordance with Article 55(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The gazette was published in both Amharic and English.
